In this competitive market, retailers need to bring their busy customers a faster, better experience than the next brand. Consumers want to experience that ‘retail therapy’ high as soon as possible, no longer tolerating lengthy shipping or complicated checkout processes.

Businesses are responding to this by ensuring orders can be fulfilled as quickly as possible as well as offering detailed parcel tracking options and predicting purchase cycles within the market to make sure products are in stock.

However, the application of this in the New Zealand market still has a way to go says Mike Friend, Retail Dimension’s Sales Director.

“We are seeing a want for that from some of our clients. It hasn’t truly translated into the instore experience just yet, but it does feel like there is desire for it.”
