Consumers, particularly Gen Z, are increasingly inclined to make purchasing decisions prompted by social media influencers and online communities. An Oracle and CRM Essentials survey of more than 2,000 adults in the U.S aged 18 to 80 found that 37 percent of participants trusted social media influencers over brands while 80 percent had purchased products in direct response to social media content.
